Underrated Disney World Attractions

Updated: Aug 19, 2020

Whether it's your first time or tenth time visiting Disney World, it can be overwhelming and hard to do every single attraction in all four parks. Over the years, I have been able to identify the attractions that are extremely underrated, skipped, or missed. It's no wonder these attractions are overlooked--no one gives them the credit and hype that they deserve! These attractions, in my opinion, are "hidden" gems, and you should put them on your do-not-skip list on your Disney World vacations!

Epcot

Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros

I still haven't figured out why this ride never has a line for it. It is a very colorful boat ride through Mexico, and the Three Caballeros sing the entire ride. What is there not to love about it? It's located in the Mexican Pavilion in World Showcase, so go and ride it!

Living with the Land

Some people fall asleep as soon as they get on this ride, or just never ride it. I, however, love this ride and have to ride it every trip I take to Disney. Not only is it an educational ride that teaches you all about agriculture, but it's so cool getting to take a boat ride through Disney's greenhouse! I have seen Mickey-shaped pumpkins, gigantic cucumbers, and many more exciting vegetables. I love this ride, and it's very underrated. Next time you see a long wait for Soarin' Around the World, get in line for Living with the Land--it's right next door!

Journey Into Imagination with Figment

This is another Epcot ride that never has a line for it, and I don't understand. It's a classic Disney attraction that has been around ever since I can remember, and it's a must-do in Epcot. Figment takes you to "labs" that test all five senses, and teaches you how to use your imagination. It's a cute ride for adults and kids, so go and check it out next time you're in the Imagination pavilion!

Magic Kingdom

Country Bear Jamboree

I feel like this attraction doesn't get all of the hype it deserves. Who doesn't want to watch a bunch of bears sing for 15 minutes? Plus, you will have all of the songs stuck in your head for the rest of the day! This is a Disney classic in Frontierland, and it's a great attraction.

This is Liver Lips, a country bear that took my phone away right after I took this picture.

Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover

If you want to get a really awesome view of Tomorrowland, you need to hop on the PeopleMover. It is a slow-moving ride that shows you all that there is to do in Tomorrowland, and you even get to ride through a part of Space Mountain and Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin! This attraction rarely has a wait, so I would consider it a hidden gem in Magic Kingdom.

Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress

I have gone on this attraction with three people who have fallen asleep during it, and I simply do not understand. This is Walt Disney's creation! He created this attraction for the 1964 New York World's Fair, and we get to experience it right here in Magic Kingdom! It is a rotating theater that takes you through the progress of technology and electricity, and it has a catchy song that plays in-between theater rotations. Not many people appreciate this ride, and I think Walt would be sad because of it. Ride it next time you're in Magic Kingdom, and please don't fall asleep.

There's a hidden Mickey nutcracker on the mantel in this picture.

Do I have any fans of these hidden gems?

I gotta say, Living With The Land is really a one time thing. I feel like once you've seen it once, you never need to do it again. Unless you're looking for a nice break from the park and need a nap.
